“Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.”– Jim Bishop
We love how uniquely the Fall season blends beauty with coziness and comfort. Here are a few tips to help you ensure those same stylish, cozy vibes translate to your wedding day.
Cover your toes
Closed toe shoes are important insurance when it comes to your comfort this season! Choose a pair of shoes that are not only easy to walk in, but will also keep your feet warm when the cooler Fall weather hits.
Blankets & Pashminas
Make sure your guests and bridesmaids are “covered.” If you are planning an outdoor ceremony, provide blankets for guests and some type of shoulder covering for your gals (bridesmaids). The last thing you want is for your friends and family to be too chilly to appreciate your nuptials.
Similarly, you do not want to be so focused on the cold that you have trouble enjoying your big day! Pack some sort of elegant shoulder covering for yourself, or consider wearing a dress with long sleeves if you are getting married late in the season.
Signature Cocktails Served Hot
Signature drinks are regularly a hit at RiverStone! We enjoy creating drinks that represent your personal style. For a seasonal spin that is sure to keep your guests talking, consider serving hot specialty cocktails this Fall. Examples: hot toddies, spiked cider, mulled wine, or boozy hot chocolate
Maximize Time in the light
As the season progresses, the days will get shorter. So plan accordingly. Talk with your photographer about scheduling your photo session earlier in the day. That way you can make the most of the daylight and capitalize on the beautiful autumn foliage as a backdrop for your wedding pictures.
Fall = bounty. So take advantage of the harvest by incorporating some natural seasonal elements (tidbits) in your wedding.
Fall color pallets exude richness and warmth. Think jewel tones and metallics, as well as earth tones and toasty hues. Here are a few color pairings to consider…
